Academic Policies

Academic Standing Regulations for Undergraduate Students in the School of Natural Resources

A student whose term and cumulative grade point average are 2.0 or higher is in good academic standing.

A student whose term grade point average falls below 2.0 is placed on academic probation.

A student on academic probation for more than one subsequent semester is subject to suspension or dismissal.

A student on academic probation must establish a 2.0 cumulative GPA within two successive terms of enrollment; otherwise they are ineligible to enroll.

A student whose term grade point average falls below a 1.5 is subject to suspension (one academic term). A student whose term grade point average falls below 1.0 is subject to dismissal (one calendar year).

A student who has been ineligible to enroll may be readmitted only upon the approval of the Associate Director of Academic Programs. As a condition of readmission, the Associate Director may set forth stipulations with regard to minimum standards of academic work. If the student, after readmission, again becomes ineligible to re-enroll, the student’s ineligibility is normally considered permanent.

The Director of the School of Natural Resources has final authority in all decisions.
