Missouri Woodland Steward
is MU Forestry Extension’s dynamic forest landowner education program. The introductory series introduces simple forest and wildlife management principles and practices, and familiarizes landowners with the basic elements of a forest management plan. Advanced series are currently being developed on marketing timber, carbon credits, wood energy, and succession and estate planning.

Project Learning Tree
Project Learning Tree uses the forest as a "window" on the world to increase students' understanding of our environment; stimulate students' critical and creative thinking; develop students' ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues; and instill in students the commitment to take responsible action on behalf of the environment.

FFA Forestry
FFA Forestry is designed to stimulate students' interest in forestry and the principles of forest resource management. The highlight of the academic year is a series of district-level competitions that qualifies teams for the state Forestry Career Development Event held each spring at the Missouri FFA Convention. The winning team goes on to represent Missouri at the National FFA Convention.

Envirothon
Envirothon is a problem-solving, natural resource education program for high school students. As with the FFA program, the top three teams of regional competitions advance to a statewide competition held in early May. The winning team will represent Missouri at the North American Canon Envirothon.
