Department of Forestry represented at IUFRO World Congress in Seoul, Korea

The Department of Forestry was present at the 23rd International Union of Forest Research Organizations World Congress in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Shibu Jose, H.E. Garrett Endowed Professor and Director of The Center for Agroforestry, presented on North American agroforestry practices. Dr. Francisco X Aguilar, Assistant Professor of Forest Economics and Policy, discussed the economic feasibility of harvesting for woody biomass in Missouri and consumers' preferences for certified wood products in the US and UK.

The Department of Forestry is a member of IUFRO. IUFRO is a non-profit, non-governmental international network of forest scientists, which promotes global cooperation in forest-related research and enhances the understanding of the ecological, economic and social aspects of forests and trees.
