Jennifer Upah, Teaching Assistant Professor and Director of Internships
MU's School of Natural Resources welcomed a new addition to their family this August. Jennifer Upah now represents the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism as a Teaching Assistant Professor and the Director of Internships.
Originally from Iowa, Upah stayed in her home state to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Leisure, Youth and Human Services from the University of Northern Iowa in 2003. She then moved to the University of Houston to earn her Master's degree in Sports and Fitness.
Upah is also teaching an Aquatics Science class here at MU since she has 6 prior years experience as an Aquatics Director.
When she is not busy at her new job, Upah enjoys running, triathlons and generally being physically active by playing sports.
"My favorite part of my job is seeing students go out and apply what they’ve learned," she said. "I like to see them doing what they ultimately came here to do."
